# Signal scoring

import { Callout } from 'nextra/components';

To help you prioritize and focus on the most valuable interactions, InGrow assigns a score to each signal. This scoring system quantifies the level of engagement from a particular user.

## How Signals are Scored

The signal score is calculated based on several factors:

* **Interaction Type:** Different types of interactions have different weights. For example, a comment is generally scored higher than a reaction as it represents a higher level of engagement.
* **Frequency of Interaction:** Users who interact with a profile's content frequently will have a higher signal score.
* **Recency of Engagement:** More recent interactions are given a higher weight to emphasize current interest.

## Signal Intensity Levels

Based on the calculated score, signals are categorized into three intensity levels:

* **Low (Score \< 10):** Represents single or infrequent interactions.
* **High (Score 10-29):** Indicates multiple interactions from a user.
* **Very High (Score ≥ 30):** Signifies consistent and high-value engagement from a user, marking them as a high-intent prospect.
