# Initial profile sync

When you first connect a new LinkedIn profile to InGrow, it undergoes an initial synchronization process. This is the most intensive data collection phase, designed to build a comprehensive baseline of the profile's activity.

## Sync Duration

The duration of the initial sync can vary depending on the profile's activity level, but it typically takes **up to one hour** to complete. You will receive an email notification once the process is finished.

## Data Collected

During the initial sync, InGrow collects the following data:

* **Recent Posts:** Up to 100 of the most recent posts from the profile.
* **Post Engagement:** All reactions and comments on the collected posts.
* **Profile Information:** The user's name, headline, profile picture, and other public information.
* **Connection and Profile View Data:** If the connected account has a LinkedIn Premium subscription, InGrow will also collect data on new connections and profile views.

## Progress Indication

While the initial sync is in progress, you will see a "Syncing..." status next to the profile's name on your dashboard. This status will be removed once the sync is complete.
