Skip to main contentEach signal in InGrow is a rich data object that contains detailed information about the engagement and the person who initiated it. Understanding the structure of a signal will help you better interpret the data and identify key prospects.
A signal is composed of the following main components:
Signal Profile
This section contains information about the LinkedIn user who generated the signal. It includes:
- Full Name: The full name of the user.
- Headline: The user’s professional headline from their LinkedIn profile.
- Profile Picture URL: A link to their profile picture.
- Username and URN: Unique identifiers for the user’s LinkedIn profile.
- Company Information: The name of the company where the user is currently employed, if available.
Signal Score
This is a numerical value that represents the intensity of the user’s engagement. The score is calculated based on the type, frequency, and recency of their interactions. A higher score indicates a more engaged and potentially higher-intent prospect.

- Latest Activity Type: The type of the most recent interaction (e.g., “comment,” “interaction,” “connection”).
- Latest Activity Date: The timestamp of the most recent interaction.
- Interactions: A list of all reactions (likes, loves, etc.) the user has had with the tracked profile’s content.
- Comments: The full text of any comments the user has made.
- Connection and Profile View Data: Information about connection requests and profile views, if applicable (requires LinkedIn Premium).
